“ My favorite ramen in town. Spicy miso is my go-to. I genuinely prefer this to Ramen Tatsuya and the other overrated big name ramen places. ”
“ Completely workable ramen that won't break the bank. Can always grab a bowl with no fuss. Sometimes, you don't need to go to the over hyped place to grab a bowl of noodles, you know? ”
“ The Spicy Miso ramen is very flavorful. I also like the texture of their noodles. And they have a good egg that goes along with the ramen. I wanted to try their handmade dumplings but they were out so I got the gyoza which was not bad. Their regular pork ramen I think is maybe not flavorful enough for me though, so definitely prefer the Spicy Miso ramen. ”
“ I have food allergies and I have never been somewhere that the server has helped me to find something I can eat. The guy here sat there and helped me to find a meal that wouldn't trigger anything. I can't eat GLUTEN, EGGS, SOY, or PEANUTS. He was very kind and the food was good! ”
“ This place is fantastic! The staff are super kind, the ambience and homey and vibey, and the food is mouthwatering. If you want to support an authentic small business, 10/10 recommend! ”
“ Came in on a weekday night and we were the only customers, but I actually really enjoyed the ramen. I got the Kanji signature and added extra chashu and veggies which I felt were very inexpensive to add on. The ramen felt like a rather big portion and I enjoyed that the broth wasn't as salty as other places. The inside is pretty cute though the restaurant is located in a rather quiet complex. The food took a while to come out despite us being the only customers but the service was friendly. I would definitely come back here for a casual ramen night. ”
“ A group of friends and I decided to meet here for lunch. This is a small little ramen shop located inside a plaza area with plenty of parking. The food was perfect and portions were generous. Lots of items on the menu looked great, from several different types of ramen, starters and small dishes, as well as sushi rolls. I got the Little Kanji since I knew that ramen is pretty filling. The kid's ramen included pork bone soup with soy sauce based seasoning chashu, wood ear mushroom, ajitama egg corn, nori. It was delicious! They are closed on Mondays and hours are 11am to 8pm Tuesday-Sunday. ”
“ I've decided to branch out from Tatsuya when it comes to ramen in Austin, and I'm so glad I tried this place. I got the signature kanji ramen to go. When I took the lid off the container the smell was *incredible.* I tried the both on its own before I added it to the bowl, and my instant reaction was "Damn!" And the two together? Heaven. I practically inhaled the whole thing, it was SO GOOD. If this and Tatsuya's OG got into a knife fight, I think Kanji's bowl would be the winner. I'm already trying to convince myself that getting ramen two days in a row would be terribly decadent, which is why I shouldn't go back for more tomorrow. You, however, should ABSOLUTELY go. It's worth it! ”
“ My child and I came here on a whim because we were nearby and had a craving for ramen. The service itself was slow, but that is fine because they were very kind. The food was what we came for anyway. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the broth was seasoned really well. If we are back in the area, we'd definitely go back. ”
